Joining the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL) offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded photography enthusiasts, whether you’re pursuing photography as a hobby, an art form, or a profession. Membership is open to all who share a passion for photography, and can be obtained either through invitation or by application.

To apply, your membership application must be proposed and seconded by two current members in good standing. Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Executive Committee, which meets monthly to assess new applicants. To ensure your application is processed promptly, please submit it at least one week before the next scheduled committee meeting. In some cases, the Executive Committee may request an interview with applicants as part of the review process. The committee reserves the right to decline any application if necessary information is missing or inaccurate, or for other reasons at their discretion.

Once your membership is approved, you’ll be notified via phone or email with details on how to pay the applicable membership fees.

Membership becomes active upon payment of the fees and the issuance of your membership ID card. Renewals are required annually by paying the applicable fees. As a member of PSSL, you’ll be part of a vibrant community and are expected to adhere to the Society’s constitution, Code of Conduct, and any guidelines provided.
