Membership of the Society is by invitation or by application only. Membership is open to anyone interested in pursuing photography as a hobby, art or profession.
All applications must be proposed and seconded by Members of the Society of good standing.
Please note that all duly completed applications once received will have to be ratified by the Executive Committee of the Society for acceptance of any applicant to be granted membership. Ex‐co meetings are held once a month. Duly completed Membership
Applications received one week prior to a scheduled monthly Ex‐Co meeting will be submitted to the first Ex‐co meeting from the date of receipt.
Ex‐co at their discretion may call any applicant for an interview prior to recommendation for acceptance for membership.
Ex‐co may reject any application due to lack of information, inaccuracies in the information or without adducing any reason whatsoever.
Once an application has been ratified, the Society will inform the applicant by phone or email to make payment of fees as payable at the current rates, and call for a recent photograph of 1.5” (H) x 1” (W) size. A photograph can be submitted by email to pssloffice@gmail.com or a print be handed over during office hours.
Membership to the Society will only be valid upon full payment of the relevant membership fees and issuance of the membership ID card, and subsequent renewal annually upon applicable fees being paid. Delay in the renewal of membership fees beyond a period of 2 years may cause automatic cessation of membership.
Once enrolled as an Ordinary Member of the Society members are required to adhere to all conditions of the constitution of the Society, Code of Conduct and any other Guidelines that may be issued from time to time.
